K

risty spent over 20 years as a drug addict in Seattle. After she had a brain aneurysm in 2011, she came back to live with her mother and step dad in Chelan, WA. By His grace and mercy she was healed from the long time addiction. She never touched any drug again.

While she fought through the physical complications caused by her lifestyle in the past, she found a passion to help homeless and also to talk to young people about drug abuse. Her mom, Mary Ann, was inspired by Kristy's sincere desire, so the two of them started gathering the items for homeless people.

In August 2012, she went into the hospital for a small scheduled surgery. It didn't turn out well as expected. She nearly lost her life right after the surgery. Yet she was determined to make it so she could share her story with others. Many of her friends and her church family prayed for her healing. After 3 weeks she was released from the hospital to go home.

She was able to spend 3 days with her family and her kitty that she loved before God called to her real Home on September 7th, 2012.

Now Kristy's strong passion to help the poor is ALIVE in Mary Ann, her family, and others by going forward with Kristy's Legacy. Kristy's Legacy is not just her story. It is about Jesus and Kristy. Also, we never forget that her addiction for drugs caused many heartaches, especially her immediate family. Too many precious years that could have been spent with the family were lost.

In John 12:23-25, Jesus talks about if a seed dies, it produces more seeds. Jesus died for our wrong actions. And Jesus rose again to give us eternal life. Kristy almost lost her life because of a love for drugs. But because of her faith in Jesus, Kristy's body died yet her soul lives with Him eternally. Our prayer is for everyone who is touched by her life will know that Jesus is touching them through Kristy's Legacy.
